Scofield 10-10-2009

I was planning on going to Strawberry this day, but after the experience with the algae bloom three days earlier, I decided to take Rick and Austin to Scofield. The reports I had read said they were catching a lot of small fish with a few big ones in the mix. And that’s exactly how the day played out for us. It was Austins first time in a kick boat, and he did very well, in fact he was the first one to catch a fish. We had to fight the wind most of the day, but the fish didn’t seem to mind. Rick and Austin did catch fish bigger than the ones they’re holding in the pictures. 90% of the fish we caught were 10-13 inches long. I was the lucky one and was able to land a nice 20" Cutt, and a 21" Tiger.
