Chesterfield Reservoir 6-25-2011

Bruce was going to be fishing in Idaho over the weekend, so Rick, Tori and I desided to meet up with him at Chesterfield. Tori (from work) had never been to Chesterfield so we threw her boat in the trailer, and she followed us up. We were hoping for a good damselfly hatch in the afternoon, but it never materialized. It was a beautiful day to be on the water, but it was also very hard to get the fish to co-operate.

Notice all the snow still on the mountains.

A fatty to Bruce's net.

Stomach pump revealed a leech, chronimid, and a half digested damsel nymph.
I pulled this damselfly out of the water as it swam next to my boat.
Rick changing flies.
Bruce's two for dinner.
Tori kicking back.

Time to head for home.

Pelican Lake 6-04-2011

Rick and I arrived at Pelican Lake around 9:30 am, Bruce and Dennis were already on the water. It was a nice sunny day with a light breeze, perfect for fishing. No big fish this trip, but lots of bluegill with a few bass mixed in. They took just about everything we through at them.

Return to Daniels 5-21-2011

Sam, Rick and I decided to go fish Daniels the Saturday after Bruce and I had been there. I was hoping the fish would be a little more cooperative, but it was a repeat of the previous week, with the exception of less wind. The temperature was nice and pleasant. Bruce, Dennis and Mark went to Strawberry and found the fishing to be tough there also. Plus they had to wear their coats and fight the wind all day.

Daniels Reservoir 5-14-2011

Bruce and I went up to Idaho and fished Daniels. The fishing was slow, but the fish fought hard and were nice sized. For the first half hour or so the water was calm, to calm. And then the wind started. We had a fun day on the water.
