Strawberry 10-7-2009

Took the day off work to go fishing with Bruce at Strawberry. When we arrived at East Portal the fog was really thick. We were on the water just before 8:00 AM, and each caught a fish right at the get go. As we moved north the algae started getting bad, so we started working our way southeast. I was really struggling to catch fish, and Bruce was picking up four to every one that I caught. By noon I had only brought four to the boat, and the surface algae was getting worse, so we decided to pack up and move to the Soldier Creek side.
It was windy on Soldier Creek, but the fish were more willing to play. I ended the day with fourteen, but never was able to catch up with Bruce.

  1. Wow, it looks way too cold to be fishing in those pics! And i'd say 14 fish is a good day
